Fellowship Groups

Fellowship Groups

Food, Fun, and Fellowship

Get to know your fellow church members as groups of 6-8 get together monthly for lunch or dinner at a local restaurant or home of a group member. Group membership rotates every 4 months. Our purpose is to strengthen the church as members make and renew connections with other believers. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. 1 Corinthians 12:12 For further information, please contact the church office.

Prayers and Squares

“It’s not about the quilt; it’s all about the prayers.” This group meets 7:00 PM on the first Tuesday of the month to prepare prayer quilts to be tied and prayed over by the congregation. These quilts are then given to bereaved or sick individuals. Quilters—beginning to advanced—are invited to join this group. For further information, please contact the church office.

Peace Travelers

In the book of Acts 2:42 it says that the first century believers devoted themselves to the teachings of the apostles and to fellowship. When we are walking with God, we want to be with God’s people. Thus, we join together as a fellowship group to travel, to eat and to just enjoy the company of each other. Fellowship is praying together. It is growing and aging together. It is serving together. Monthly travel experiences for Peace members and guests provide this fellowship opportunity. See church calendar for trip details and sign-up information. For further information, please contact the church office.

Come Quilt With Me

Come Quilt with Me is a small group that meets weekly on Wednesdays from 1:00 – 3:00 PM in Burgess Hall. This group provides fellowship for quilters both within PUMC and from other churches. It is a time for sharing skills, learning new techniques, showcasing members’ work, assisting with projects and exploring the wider quilting community. For further information, please contact the church office.
