UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
The Purpose as adopted by the General Conference of The United Methodist Church as the official mission statement of United Methodist Women.
United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
We have two circles. The day circle meets the first Thursday each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Burgess Hall. Bring a bag lunch. The night circle meets the third Wednesday each month starting at 7:00 p.m. and the location will be in rotating member’s homes. The UMW General meetings are quarterly. We provide a host of church and mission related activities including a soup Sunday, spud (potato) Sunday, making candy eggs and lollipops for Easter and “Kits for Konference.”
